I have been an Alto section leader for the past four years. My first visit to St. Cecilia was Ash Wednesday, 2010. When I heard the choir for the first time, I was amazed. As I continued to visit the parish, I became interested in becoming a choir member, coming to the parish, and learning great music. A special moment in liturgy that has impacted me was experiencing singing Triduum music, especially Easter Vigil. I’m very grateful to be in the Schola Caeciliana, performing wonderful music for liturgies and concerts, and getting to know the choir members. I’m very excited for the opportunity to experience a wonderful liturgy at Rome in St. Peter’s Basilica. My hometown is Fremont. I sing in Opera Omaha, as well as studying voice, piano, and organ, and I work part-time for Hy-Vee.
