Mezzo-soprano, Kaitlin Zardetto is an Omaha native who discovered her musicianship and vocal skills as she progressed from the Schola Cantorum Children’s Choir to the Gaudete High School Choir, and then onto the Cathedral Choir, and finally as a guest artist and soloist during her visits to Omaha. She has always believed in the strength of music and worship. At the heart of her years of choral experience with the Cathedral Music Ministry is the choir’s dedication to each member’s overall spiritual experience, and the shared goal of wanting to enhance the congregation’s worship experience. Without the mentorship, community, and guidance of the music professionals involved early on in her vocal education, her performance experience may have never developed into what it has today.
Kaitlin is a second year master’s student at Northwestern University who will complete her Master’s degree in Voice and Opera Performance from the Bienen School of Music this spring. In the fall, Zardetto will be attending Florida State University as a doctoral candidate in Historical Musicology, while continuing her vocal studies
